Our featured user this week is Amalia from Romania, also known as @sadshroom on ShopLook. Like many of us, she started on Polyvore and I’m so glad that she found her way to ShopLook! Her feed is filled with stylish, wearable looks that you will definitely want to check out.

Keep scrolling to see some of her favorite creations and her full Q&A answers.

Favorite fashion decade?

Fashion decades have always inspired me, but if I were to pick one I would definitely choose our decade. I believe that the actual fashion field is the best that suits me.

New outfit, blank canvas… where do you start?

The first thing I usually start with is the pants. When I pick the right pants, I know how I will design the set.

Describe your personal style:

My sense of style mostly depends on my mood and I am pretty flexible when it comes to styles. I enjoy switching from a “core” to another, such as from "cottagecore" to "indiecore" and so on. I oftenly dress up in a simple way, but there are some moments when I want to drag all the attention on me.

Something you bought recently and absolutely love:

I have recently bought a rose quartz heart necklace, which I always put on when dressing up. So that might be it :)

Something you would never wear?

I think I would *never* wear those Adidas Superstar sneakers that have been in high demand during 2015-2018. They just make me feel that they're giving off basic vibes.

Something you would like to wear but haven’t?

I wish I could wear satin dresses and much more wide-leg jeans.

Something you (almost) always put in your sets?

I think that miscellaneous things are always in my sets. I love them because they add a bit of flavor to the outfit and they make sets look lively.

Any advice for others looking to improve their creative process?

The best piece of advice I can give to the users is that they should feel free to express themselves in the way they feel like it. Everyone has a different taste, everyone has a different style. In my opinion, each one is noteworthy and deserves to be seen.

Current phone wallpaper?

I usually settle for minimalist wallpapers, I like to see and to enhance every icon of the applications. At the moment I have a picture that sets the sky in pastel colors, which I personally think is often cheering me up.

Fun fact others might not know about you?

I think a fun fact about me that no one knows about might be me cracking my toes every 5 minutes, just because it's relaxing :P

Album you could listen to on repeat for a week?

My all-time favorite album is Nectar by Joji. I would even pay to listen at it for the first time again.

Something from your closet that you could wear with anything for a week:

I have recently bought a large sized cardigan that I can match up with any jeans I love. I would wear it each day in every possible outfit combination.

Something you once wore but now makes you cringe?

Skinny jeans have once been my peak style. I used to wear them every day at school and at hangouts. I personally find them cringey now, because it reminds me of those times that I don't want to go back to.

Dream job? Current area of study?

I can't really answer this question, I never have a specific answer to it. But I believe that I would do a great job being a lawyer. :) I am currently a student at a Mathematics and Computer Science high school. I am mostly into computer science, but since I am at a bilingual profile my area of study is English as well.

How long have you creating fashion looks online?

I started creating sets back in 2015, when I first signed up for a Polyvore account. I loved it a lot, because creating outfits was one of my ways of exteriorizing my love for fashion. So, basically, I have been practicing this so-called "hobby" for around 6 years! :) I don't quite remember how it all started, I just felt like it was something that relieves me in every way possible and that I won't ever stop doing it.

Nickname that you friends call you?

My close friends and my relatives call me Ami, but I don't think I believe it has a specific origin. It's just a shortening, I think. :)

What do all the best ShopLook designs have in common?

From my perspective, the organization of the set makes it remarkable. I think that the more organized and symmetric a set is, the better it looks. :)
