Featured user: @adrienne

We’re back again with a new featured user, and this week we’re excited to introduce you to Adrienne. Her username is easy to spot because it is simply her first name - but make sure that you follow @adrienne if you don’t already. Her designs are guaranteed to inspire, and you’ll be excited when you see them pop up in your feed.

It’s not a huge surprise that her designs are so fetching given she started creating sets on Polyvore at the age of 13. Her experience shows! She is from Vancouver, British Columbia and you might not know that she is a competitive figure skater and figure skating coach in real life.

She chose a few of her favorite designs that we’ve included below. Keep reading to learn why those sets are her favorite and to read her full Q&A.

What about these sets makes them your favorite?

I love the boldness in the zebra and blue set, and the way the black and purple set hold their own and still complete each other. The last set I picked was a beach look which I really like because I feel I would see it in a magazine.

What drew you to Polyvore originally when you were 13?

I fell in love with putting outfits together, especially being able to use clothes that I couldn’t afford in real life.

How would you describe your personal style in three words?

Bold, timeless, and fun.

If you had to choose one thing to wear with every outfit for a full week, what would it be?

A simple gold chain necklace.

When faced with the blank canvas for a new design, how do you begin?

When I'm designing a set I usually start by choosing an item that stands out to me then I start to add things that compliment the piece and I'll keep adding and tweaking till I like what I see. It's like tasting different food to see if it goes well together.

What is something that you (almost) always include in your sets?

Something I almost always include in my sets are sunglasses.

If you could choose only one album to listen to for an entire week, what would you choose?

Permanent Vacation by Lime Cordiale

What is your dream job?

Fashion editor or design director

What brought you to ShopLook and what keeps bringing you back?
